Recital Information
Our recital performance will be at the Radford
Auditorium at McMurry University on Saturday, May 17th, at 3:00 pm. Admission is
free. The performance will last a little over two hours with a ten minute
intermission. There will be plenty of seating, so be sure to invite all of your
friends and family!
All students need to be in their dressing rooms at 2:30 pm. Arrive in full hair
and makeup, and change into your first costume as soon as you get to your
dressing room. Time will be tight, so do your best to be punctual.
Parents of little ones may want to bring a beach towel or small blanket for
their child to sit on backstage. They may also bring crayons and coloring books,
or other quiet games. Be sure to pack things that will not stain or ruin the
costumes. Our youngest students will be taken to the balcony during the
intermission to watch recital. Back Stage helpers will come to retrieve the
dancers before the finale. Parents, if you are able to sit with the little ones
during the second half of the show, please let your teacher know.
Older students will not be allowed into the auditorium during the performance.
If a child should need a parent for any reason, a backstage staff member will
locate you in the audience. We ask that audience members keep the auditorium
doors closed during each dance. The light that enters the auditorium from the
lobby is a distraction to the dancers, and may cause injury. There will be time
between dances to enter or exit the auditorium. Flash photography will be
prohibited during the performance. Again, this could cause injury to the
dancers.
After the finale, the curtain will close for a few minutes. All students will
remain on stage until the curtain reopens. Parents will then be welcome to come
on stage to take pictures and congratulate their dancers. Teachers will also be
available at that time for pictures with their students.
