Dress Code

ATTIRE

BALLET:  Pink tights and black or pink leotard.  Ballet skirts are permitted and detached skirts are preferable. Students in Ballet level 3 and above – convertible tights are preferable.  Leg warmers, other warm up gear, and camisoles may be worn. Students may wear any color dance attire to ballet class the last week of the month.

OTHER CLASSES :   Leotard (of any color).  Worn with tights and or yoga pants.   T-shirts may be worn over leotards. No inappropriate or suggestive content on clothing.

No Bare Midriffs and legs should be covered.   Shorts may be worn but with leggings or tights underneath.

 

SHOES

BALLET:  Pink Ballet Shoes

TAP:  Black Tap Shoes.

JAZZ:  Black Jazz Shoes.

LYRICAL/LITURGICAL: Pink Ballet Shoes.  Teacher will let students know if other is required.

CONTEMPORARY:  Pink Ballet Shoes.  Teacher will let students know if other is required.

POINTE:   Pink Ballet Shoes & Pointe shoes.   It is preferable that you go to a professional dance shop to be properly fitted for pointe shoes.

HAIR:  Girls should wear hair in a bun for ballet & pointe classes.  If hair is not long enough for a bun it should be firmly secured out of the face.  For other classes hair should be secured out of the face.
